Brent is an accomplished business leader with over 20 years of experience in corporate, community and organizational development, spearheading the growth of numerous businesses and innovative sports initiatives. Brent has a wealth of experience in sales and marketing with demonstrated success in product line management, brand building and strategic planning. Having successfully fulfilled senior level roles in both the private and public sectors, Brent has achieved outstanding results: efficiently increasing sales, profitability, customer base and penetration, while advancing integrated marketing strategies across various channels.

Prior to leading Selects Performance full-time starting in the spring of 2009, Brent was Vice President of Marketing and Multimedia for Firstar Sports Inc, recognized by Champions of the Sport Market as Fastest-rising Brand in 2008. He was also formerly Key Account Manager West at Johnvince Foods / Planters Canada, one of Canada’s 50 Best Managed Companies, and World’s most iconic brands. In the public sector, Brent has over 5 years of experience coordinating recreational programs, special events, and arena services for the City of Burnaby Parks, Recreation and Culture. Named by Maclean’s Magazine as the “Best Run City in Canada,” Brent also served on the City of Burnaby’s Gender Equity and Cultural Diversity Committees.

Brent received a CLA and BA from Simon Fraser University (SFU), where he was an All-American in lacrosse. He continues to be active in the lacrosse community as Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach at SFU (2004 to present), where he has achieved membership into the MCLA’s “Century Club” with over 100 collegiate wins, in addition to three PNCLL Conference Championships, four MCLA Tournament appearances, and five PNCLL Coach of the Year awards. Brent also serves on the Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association’s Division I Awards Committee (2011-present) and as Vice President, Eligibility for the Pacific Northwest Collegiate Lacrosse League (2008-present).
